Nicole Slaunwhite is an author, filmmaker, and entrepreneur based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After graduating from law school at Dalhousie University, she opened her own law firm, but gave up her legal practice in 2018 to focus on her growing career in publishing and film. She writes novels, game scripts, and comic books as Nicola R. White.
Nicole founded Strange Roads Press, a boutique publishing imprint, in 2015. That same year, her debut novel won the $10,000 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize in Romance. Since then, the company has continued to grow and in 2018, Strange Roads Press became Strange Roads Media.
Tim Hanley is an author, historian, and filmmaker. He has a Master’s degree in history from Dalhousie University and expanded his honours thesis on DC Comics and the 1950s juvenile delinquency crisis into his first book, Wonder Woman Unbound: The Curious History of the World’s Most Famous Heroine. Since then, Tim has continued to publish feminist histories of women in comics, along with a number of other exciting new projects.
Tim works with Strange Roads Media as an editor, writer, and film producer. He is represented by Dawn Frederick of Red Sofa Literary.
